Metric Fencing

Edit - after 2 years our gate has rusted at every weld point on the gate, new owners say its our fault for not washing high mineral water off the fence every so often (not ever told to us as part of the maintenance). [Original review: After a little delay from change of staffing the people at Metric fencing went above & beyond to get our front return fence & gate installed. The installer was fabulous even with a difficult neighbor & our gate is very sturdy & solid. Outstanding craftsmanship, design & install.] Would NOT recommend choosing this company!

Would highly recommend Metric Fencing. Lyle was excellent to deal with and the whole company was very professional. It was really good to deal with a company that has very high standards with both materials and contractors etc. They don't just get any sub-contractor to prepare/install etc.We now have an aluminium picket fence with electric gate that looks fantastic and provides great security.

What was a great install has unfortunately been a let down with the product. Less than 2yrs and we have rust forming on the powder-coated gate, mainly around the weld joins which also have holes in them.Response is that our mains water is too hard and we haven't been washing the gate down with soapy water every 3 months, though never told we had too.I expected more from my point of view.Response to owner:Hi Matt, I don't have a bore, nor does any residents around me, it is mains water?At cost is still a cost to the customer which i don't believe should have to out of pocket for a defective product, and I've never been offered 2 options, the so called rust removal?We have been in contact for over 3 months on the matter, so when I contacted you, it was less than 2 years.Thanks.

Having had a previous good experience with Metric, we asked Lyle to quote on our new project comprising two separate gate systems, one of which was fully automated, at an older site with some design challenges. The quote was competitive and prepared promptly (unlike two competitor quotes), with attention to detail on the design-specifics. Given the current environment, we were pleasantly surprised by the manufacturing and installation schedule which the team met. Lyle was very flexible around key design matters and worked with us throughout the process to achieve the right design solution, including quick closure of punch-list items. The installation process went very well; with a lot of care taken to ensure accuracy of the set-up, which is critical for swing-type automatic gates. We are very pleased with the final outcome in terms of gate system functionality, quality of the gate fabrication and overall design configuration.

I would like to thank Matt and his team from Metric Fencing. Excellent from start to finish. Communication was first class. An absolutely fantastic job on the supply and installation of our new electric gate and fence, especially considering the complexity of the job. You can tell the guys really care about quality and the work that they do and at a good price too. 5 star job, thank you very much!

When I first met one of the receptionist at their office, i had a contract that was very urgent and needed some specially made materials for that project. I was surprised to see the entire team plunged into action and told me to wait for half an hour as long as I have the money to pay the cost. Yes indeed I had the money and products were supplied as required I made it to the project site and completed my task as required. and we all lived happily after.

Matt was extremely easy to deal with and the team did a superb job of our new electric gate, quality is outstanding.!I would highly recommend anyone to use Metric for their next project
